      1. Arrange layers of material as desired. If using as a fastener, overlap edges completely.
      2. Open pin by applying pressure at the center of pin bars and slipping point out from behind pin head.
      3. Insert point of shawl pin through all layers of material and back to front. Apply pressure to center of pin bars and slip point back behind head of pin.
