Loran Zip Fasteners are specially designed zippers with loose weave channels for casting on stitches through zipper tape. This separating zipper is also for sweaters, jackets and coats. Finished knitwear can also be stitched to zipper with yarn. Yarn projects are knitted directly onto zipper.
Sewing to zipper:
Use a large tapestry or yarn needle. If zipper is too long, the extra length can be cut off from the top of the zipper. Slide the pull down and cut off the unneeded length. Whip stitch around teeth (on both sides) about ½†from cut top.
Casting stitches onto zipper:
Use a 2.5mm or K crochet hook. If zipper is too long, the extra length can be cut off from the top of the zipper. Slide the pull down and cut off the unneeded length. Whip stitch around teeth (on both sides) about ½†from cut top.
